Mobilitrix offers mobile marketing solutions to clients who want to target the growing market of mobile users. Their services range from  reward vouchers and loyalty schemes to mobile surveys, SMS advertising, information sharing and the collection of customer data. I outlined a new SEO-friendly web structure for them. The user experience was paramount, with focus on clarity of information which in the mobile industry can be overwhelming and hard to understand. The page elements were arranged for maximum effect and conversions as well as building trust in Mobilitrix as a brand. I then rewrote all of their web copy to appeal to their target audience. The new site is yet to go live, but watch this space.

LR Management Group

LRMG had redesigned their website and wanted appropriate copy as well as SEO on all the relevant pages. I selected keywords based on extensive research for their niche and implemented the keywords in the meta tags, headings, linking strategy and across the pages of the site. I also focused on a few more site elements for the homepage such as shortcut buttons to key areas which were buried within the site and their contact details. According to the marketing dept. their “queries have increased substantially” since the implementation and Google Analytics shows an  increase in organic web traffic of a steady 4% per month. The brief was to re-write the homepage copy for Way to Wealth, a financial advisory site containing wealth generating tips, e-books and mentorship. The goal of the hompage was to get site visitors to subscribe to the blog and provoke movement around the site, particularly towards the blog and other products and services. The copy on the homepage achieved this by grabbing the visitors attention straight away by providing a clear idea of what the site is about and how it can help the relevant target market. It focuses heavily on the benefits of wealth creation and generating a passive income, enticing the reader to want this type of lifestyle for themselves. Willowbrook Lodge hired me to write the web copy from scratch for their newly designed website. I worked in conjunction with the web design team not only on the web copy, but also the placement of site elements and layout. The site has just been launched and results are being monitored by Google Analytics. I also created a Pay-Per-Click campaign for them in three key target locations. Constantia Mist Winery & Guesthouse

Constantia Mist is a boutique wine farm on the spectacular slopes of Constantia Nek in the Western Cape. Part of the famed Constantia Wine Route, the winery wanted a website that portrayed their exclusive image and showcased the rare quality of their wine and their guest accommodation. I optimised the site for the search engines and implemented keywords and phrases throughout the site. In terms of usability, the site had to focus on the boutique winery and the luxury accommodation, so it had a dual purpose. The site can be viewed at www.constantiamist.co.za.

The Career Advice Services site is a repository of information for learners, school leavers and adults interested in further education. I put in strong page titles and meta tags on all the pages, inplemented keywords and phrases into the copy and optimised the site so the popular content was easily located, and learners could navigate easily around the site by way of page elements and quick links. I worked with the new site design agency to create a usable experience for learners searching the NQF database, as well as ensuring the site was optimised for search engines. Special attention was paid to search techniques and the organisation of the data. Navigation and search criterior had to be clear and simple, making the search engine easy for learners to use. Whale Watchers are property managers of luxury self-catering apartments in the False Bay area. After extensive keyword analysis, SEO was performed on the site. The results were positive for the primary keyword phrases. For the key term “whale watchers” the site appears top on Google SERPs. For “luxury self-catering accommodation false bay”, another primary key phrase, the site is on Google’s top search results page. Vodacom was integrating the WASP (Wireless Application Service Provider) function into their business portal, and consequently wanted the existing (outdated) copy re-written, optimised and made relevant to a fast-changing telecoms market. I designed the content funnel to 1. Provide the necessary information to potential service providers, 2. Build trust in the brand and remove any fears or other possible barriers to entry and 3. Create a simple and easy sign-up process. All the copy on the existing site was re-written in line with Vodacom’s latest mobile products (SMS, MMS, WIG, USSD etc.) and the information surrounding them, as pertaining to the third party service providers. The author wrote an e-book and needed a landing page with persuasive sales copy to sell the e-book online. I created www.yourchildsdevelopment.com and wrote the sales copy. According to Google Analytics, in the last year the number of visitors has increased by 350%, this is largely due to e-marketing efforts, such as link exchanges and PPC ads. The e-book is also available for affiliate marketing, and to this effect I’ve created a varied list of affiliate tools to use for online marketing of the e-book. M4P Project Management did not have a website so I designed the layout and wrote the web copy from scratch. The focus was on their core value proposition and how their service offering could benefit their customers. The Skills Portal is a content rich site aimed at companies who require training for their staff members, as well as individuals looking for specialist training courses and institutions. In order to maximise traffic I did extensive keyword research specific to each section of the site. The result is top page rankings on the SERPs for each of the content sections (see results for IT Training Course, HR Training, Project Management Training and Finance Training ), as well as a substantial increase in monthly traffic volumes. Celebration House had a serious problem… NO Traffic. The site was old and out dated. The content was arranged poorly and there was virtually no SEO happening on the site anywhere. I re-wrote the Homepage Copy, focusing on the company’s core strengths, which were their personal touch and face-to-face service. The design and layout supported this positioning. Extensive keyword research was carried out and the content was arranged in optomised niche categories, increasing landing page results for those topics considerably. The result: Traffic increased by 41% in the first two months of launching the new site.

This financial subscription news site required extensive web copywriting to appeal to their desired target market. Organic search was non-existant, with only limited direct traffic from regular customers. They needed to streamline their content funnel to increase traffic volumes and sign up new members. Cape Insights is a special interest tour operator with an interesting and varied portfolio. Their old website was not performing, with low traffic volumes and a high bounce rate. The new site which I re-wrote the web copy for has performed incredibly well in the few months since it’s launch, and is now boasting the number 1 spot on Google for it’s relevant keywords.

ZAR Travel

ZAR Travel, a boutique travel company focusing on the B2B market needed help. They had a website but it was outdated and not generating any traffic at all. They needed a complete website overhaul. I began by creating layout documents for the client, outlining the homepage elements, such as navigation, contact details, headings, and copy. Credibility was added to the site in the form of Associated Partners, Testimonials and Awards. My design partners created the new site based on my layout document, and then I wrote the copy to reflect their hands-on approach and other unique benefits for their clients. The result was a turnaround in site traffic of over 100%.

Nlighten

N’lighten needed a site re-design and optimisation which focused on conversions. Their old site was not converting i.e. they had not got any calls off the website. I designed layout or ‘wireframe’ diagrams illustrating how best to attract visitors attention and persuade them to take action. I re-wrote the existing content on the site using keyword oriented copy. As a consequence, traffic has increased by 40% and N’lighten are now receiving a growing number of queries from their website which is ranked on the top page of Google SERPs.
